What is Forest is Forest School?

Forest School (FS – KS2) sessions

These sessions can include the use of tools, lighting a fire and cooking. They need a ratio of 1 adult: 5 pupils. Adults will include Tina, the class teacher, TAs and volunteer helpers such as parents or students. These sessions are mostly child-led, high risk activities will introduced over a series of sessions. Nature Play (FS – KS2) sessions

These follow the same principles as Forest School but with less adult support it is not possible to do the more risky activities such as using tools, fire or cooking. The balance between child-led activities and a focused workshop can be decided in advance and will depended on time, ratios and your site. Popular activities include den building and free play. One off sessions can be booked.

 

Forest School and Nature Inspired Workshops (FS-KS2)

These can be curriculum linked outdoor learning sessions and the focus will be negotiated with the class teacher. One off workshops can be booked.
