Are you looking for an exciting outdoor learning experience for your KS1 class?
Herd Farm is a beautiful and varied setting. Your class can go on an adventure, explore, find and make treasures.
Tina and Ian will guide your class through the day which will be linked to the KS1 National Curriculum. Links could also be made to your own topic. The day will provide a range of experiences that can then be used as a starting point for writing back in class.

Prices until end of March 2019
£315 for a full day (1 class up to 30 for the day or 2 classes for a half day each)
£220 for a half day
A full day is approximately 9.30am - 2.30pm so a Leeds school can do a visit within a normal school day.
This can be a half day or full day. Pupils will travel back in time and see the earliest homes of mesolithic hunter gatherers. Visit the homes of early farmers in the Iron Age village and observe the Herd Farm complex with old stone buildings, later extensions and a new sustainable classroom building. They will find out about building techniques and materials and depending on the time available may make their own shelters and see how food wood have been cooked on open fires long ago.
In a half day we can work with one class to do a walk through the woods to find woodland creatures and characters and build them a home followed by mega den building. In a full day we can work with one class and incorporate denbuilding into a Geography fieldwork day.
