Botanical Monotypes - 18.8.22 to be re-sheduled - date tbc- To book email Tina

Tina is really looking forward to this session. A few years ago she discovered Gelli Printing. This is a type of printing that can be done at home (or outside) with out a printing press so is accessible for all.

Everyone will be making botanical monotypes. A monotype is a one off print - everyone is unique.

To make the botanical prints leaves from trees and plants will be used that are in profusion. The intention is to respect nature. Prints can be fine and detailed and celebrate the beauty of nature.

Gelli plates will be used that are commercially made from silicone gel. These are vegan friendly. All materials and tools will be provided including paint and paper for printing. The accompanying images are some that Tina has made in the past. More can be found in Tina's etsy shop.

Working outside may limit the quality of the prints but the fundamentals of printing with a gelli plate will be shared so participants have a good starting point for a gelli printing hobby.
