Gelli Printing Workshops

2 fantastic venues - Rivers Meet Craft Cafe, Methley, Leeds (near RSPB St Aidan's) and Skelton Grange Environment Centre, Leeds

Everyone says, "What is Gelli Printing?" On these workshops you will find out how to print without a printing press. It is a great way to create pictures, patterns and texture on paper and fabrics and can be used in a variety of arts and crafts. On paper it can be used for mono-types, collage papers, backgrounds for card making, journaling and mixed media. On fabric it can be used for embrodiery, quilting and applique.

Outline of the day for both workshops

  • Introduction and demonstration - What is Gelli Printing and how is it done?
  • Walk in Nature to collect plant materials, sketches and photographs
  • Basic gelli printing techniques
  • Lunch provided
  • More Gelli Printing techniques
  • Lots and lots of printing (you will go home with a stack of prints)
  • Sharing prints made (everyone will have made something different) and viewing Tina's Gelli Print Journey Portfolio to see how Gelli printing can be developed into further artworks and crafts
