The Romans are Coming! (Before Covid)

• Starting the day with a human time line we set the scene for a dilemma. It's AD70 in Brigantia (Northern England including Yorkshire) and 'The Romans are Coming!'
• Throughout the morning your pupils will learn more about the local Celts and the invading Romans lives by visiting the roundhouse village and finding out about the Roman soldier's equipment.
• After lunch the class will take turns at experiencing and comparing life as a Roman soldier and a Celtic Warrior.
• The day will finish with a meeting of the Brigantes around the fire to decide what to do next.
